Agnipath: Congress stages sit-in, promises legal aid to protestors

Congress associates staged a sit-in, in protest in opposition to Agnipath, the Centre’s freshly announced recruitment plan, at the City Corridor floor in Varanasi on Monday.

Party’s Kashi device president Raghvendra Chaube who led the sit in from 10 am to 1pm, explained the get together will present lawful aid to those youths who were being arrested for protesting towards the government’s recruitment policy.

He mentioned a Congress delegation that had long gone to district jail to meet up with individuals arrested in link with the agitation, was denied authorization for the identical by the jail administration.

He reported jail administration denied authorization citing Covid-19 protocol.

“The youths, making ready to sign up for the army, get the job done really hard. They get up at 4 am and operates for several kilometers everyday.
