Denise Kenny Byrne’s simple manifesting techniques to help you land your dream job, house and soulmate

You may have heard the term ‘manifesting’ a lot these days, but do you know just how much it can change your life?

Thanks to the success of ‘The Secret’, which discusses the Law of Attraction, more and more people are manifesting what they want to get out of life – be it the dream relationship, house, or car.

Simply put, the thoughts you put out to the universe is what you will attract in life. The energy you give to the world through your thoughts, words and actions is what the world will give back to you.

But many people have misinterpreted the art of manifestation. It is simply not enough to think good thoughts and sit back and wait for the universe to deliver what you want!

To help us clarify what manifesting is and how we can apply it to our everyday lives, life and wellness coach and co-founder of The Head Plan Denise Kenny Byrne tells RSVP Live how we can land our dream job, soulmate, house, wealth and more through the Law of Attraction.

Get crystal clear on what you want

“This step is really important. Give yourself plenty of time to really think about what you want and remember that everything is attainable. Sometimes when people set goals they play small because they don’t believe the bigger stuff is possible for them. Allow yourself to believe in the big goals because they really are attainable and you deserve to have what you want.

“I also recommend setting SMART Goals. SMART stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relative and timed. When setting a goal, get clear on the specifics, ensure it’s something that is possible and can be tracked, consider if it’s relative to your life vision, and give it a deadline.”

Write it down

“Our tag line at The Head Plan is ‘Write it Down and Make it Happen!’

“It’s scientifically proven that writing down your goals makes it more likely that you’ll achieve them. The process of writing it down stimulates a part of the brain known as the Reticular Activating System or RAS. The RAS is responsible for sorting and prioritizing and so when we give it a goal to focus on it’s constantly on the lookout for things related to that goal. This is why this is a huge focus in our first journal.

“It’s all about keeping your goals at the front of your mind. To do this, I also suggest creating a vision board and meditating regularly. When you keep your goal in the front of your mind you’ll have more inspired ideas and see more opportunities for progress.”

Align your actions

“One of the biggest misconceptions about manifesting is that it all happens by magic. While using the Law of Attraction to set goals certainly makes it more likely that you’ll achieve them, you also have to take action. That means following inspiration when it strikes and taking daily steps that move you forward. It’s not just about thinking positive and focusing on your goals but taking regular action too. That’s why at The Head Plan we encourage you to set daily goals and schedule daily tasks and priorities.”

Practice gratitude

“Gratitude puts you in the frequency of receiving your goals and is a beautiful way to boost your mood and elevate your energy. A really easy way to manifest your goals is to practice gratitude everyday, and from a neuroscientific standpoint, doing this can strengthen your neural pathways and help you foster a permanent positive nature.

“You could keep a gratitude journal and write down what you’re grateful for first thing in the morning and last thing at night, you could count your blessings as you’re getting ready for the day, or think about what you’re grateful for as you fall asleep.”

Let go of any limiting beliefs

“Our realities are literally created by our beliefs. What we believe about ourselves and the world informs how we act, so ensuring your beliefs set you up for success is really important.

“To do this, I suggest identifying your limiting beliefs first through awareness and journaling, and then changing them through affirmations. Repeated often enough, affirmations have the power to rewire the beliefs that live in our subconscious mind.

“Limiting beliefs can stand in the way of your goals so working through them while being kind and gentle with yourself is an important step.”

Protect your energy

“Everyone feels out of sorts now and again, it’s normal and the good news is that it’s always within your power to change it. You can shift your energy and feel better bit by bit by focusing on the next best feeling thought, or by focusing on activities you really enjoy. Think dancing around the kitchen to your favourite song, watching your favourite childhood movie, or getting out in the fresh air for a walk.

“Protecting your energy is of paramount importance too, so pay attention to what doesn’t feel good. My top tip is to stay away from gossip, it has a very low vibe energy that really drags your energy down.

“Manifesting is all about matching the vibration of your goals and you do that through your feelings – so do what feels good for you!”

Be flexible and trust the process

“I always advise being flexible with your goals and being gentle on yourself. Trusting that everything is working out for your greatest good will really help you to foster a more gentle and relaxed approach to manifestation. And when you surrender and let go, your manifestations come to you more quickly.”
