Safaricom To Launch M-Pesa Services In Ethiopia

President William Ruto flew to Ethiopia to witness the historic launch together with his host, Key Minister Abiy Ahmed. This came immediately after Safaricom was granted a nationwide comprehensive-services Unified Telecommunications Assistance Licence in the neighbouring place, to compete with Ethiopia’s state-owned Ethio Telecom.
